ABOUT LONE WOLF STUDIOS
Lone Wolf Studios (LWS) is a film and television production company created by Emmy-nominated producer, Max Peltz. In 2021, Emmy-nominated producer Maxim Gertler-Jaffe joined the company. The company develops and produces commercial, character-driven stories with real-world stakes, designed to resonate culturally and socially.
LWS’ film, "How to Rob a Bank", a Netflix original, released globally in June 2024. It featured in the Netflix ‘Global Top Ten’ in its first two weeks of release, and was the only documentary feature film to do so. LWS also co-produced the three-part Channel 4 docuseries “Fugitive: The Mystery of the Crypto Queen", a gripping investigation into one of the world’s most elusive financial criminals.
Previous credits include “hacker:HUNTER” (2019–2023), a global cybercrime docuseries with over 20 million views, distributed via YouTube and Euronews. In 2020, LWS produced “Bad Hombres” for Showtime, a borderland baseball documentary. That same year, the company produced “In the Cold Dark Night", a Sky Original true crime feature which aired on BET+ as a four-part series and is now streaming on Hulu.
Other credits include feature docs, “Balomania”, which premiered at CPH:DOX in 2024 to wide acclaim and which has subsequently been nominated for multiple awards, and “Rhino", a visually-stunning and unique eco-thriller narrated by Academy Award® nominee Tom Hardy.
The company’s slate includes a range of upcoming new titles, including a feature narrative with a leading global streamer, a feature doc concerning Alzheimer’s that looks at fraud in the research and the disease at a very human level, and a true-crime docuseries with a North American broadcaster.
